Rhymefest...is the truth
-
Yeah, its not bout black people "losing hip hop" its not like the genre is a "black thing". And it would be ignorant to think likewise. I expected Rhymefest to not babble on like an idiot, dude hasn't been relevant to the battle scene since he won scribble jam.

hes got a point, think of the top 10 battle rappers, i can only think of nocando marvwon or quest who might make it in?

Rhymefest seems so racist. I'm not saying he really is because I don't know him personally, but in this video he's constantly making things a racial issue. Talking about white people this and black people that. I liked him in Scribble Jam but he gave me bad vibes in this Look Back Show. Maybe one day we'll collectively realize that we are all one and that our differences are trivial.

true. im not sure how much correlation that had in this battle but rap has taken a shit approach especially amongst black ppl
I dunno about that. I think he was on poiont about how alot of the black people are more worried about their style or being hood then they are about having good rhymes and lyrics

I highly agree with Rhymefest in the sense that it's become a stereotype that when you see a black rapper you expect tough gangsta hypermasculine rhymes but when you see anybody else, specially whites and Asians, you can expect diverse content in the rhyming.
This specially applies to New Yorkers cuz I have yet to see an NY negro kick rhymes that wasn't 90% hood shit. But even worse this is more prevalent in Hip Hop music, but that's a story for another day...
