DSL Extreme is a shitty company, stay away. They buy blocks of bandwidth and you do not get a constant 3mbps. They have support technicians with attitudes. Pay the extra $10 and get cable.

They do throw a decent Christmas Party...and they're nice people.

But, they really sold out when Ikano bought them. These guys read the DSL reports, they know how much people are pissed off at them.

We live in a world where outsourcing is cheap, so of course a large corporation is going to want to pay pennies instead of thousands of dollars to employees.

Get pissed with Ikano. They f***ed it up.

@tonycns YES THEY DID! A guy I know has been without his DSL line for over 2 weeks, no explanation (just robots answering the phone). He wasted many hours trying to get his line to work and no one could or would help him. He can't even get a refund or credit on the bill he has already paid. Stay away from this dishonest company. Anyone up for a Class Action suit?

People who have DSL E I feel sorry for you. As of Thursday 3/17/11 they outsourced all tech support and billing department to the Philippines.

Not sure why anyone would use a company like this. They do not own the copper to your house so they simply resell your local telco service. In order to make money they oversell their bandwidth. Just buy direct and use your local telephone or cable company. This video says alot. For example notice the server closet at the start of the video. It shows three racks with barely any equipment and terrible wiring. I would be embarrassed to show anyone that. Second, the people in the cubicles look sad.
