(Jump to 1.36 if you want to see Britannia in daylight - well almost! Nice whistle too.)
6.15am, dark and very wet. Britannia arrives and my cam's not on its tripod. Shaky, "night view" footage (which just wouldn't focus) of Britannia arriving at Lostock Hall triangle and then reversing towards Preston. You can just about see the white cab roof if not the number!
8.15am, less dark and less wet. Britannia makes a fine sight hauling the Royal Train through Lostock Hall station en route to a re-naming ceremony at Wakefield, courtesy of the Prince of Wales. February 2012 marks the 60th anniversary of Britannia hauling the Funeral Train for King George VI, hence the white cab roof apparently.

  • Nice shot at Lostock.

  • Cracking shot of 70000 at Lostock with a nice touch with the whistle.

    Cheers Phil.

  • Very nice, especially the shot at Lostock Hall and the whistle was a nice bonus. Must have surprised a few early morning commuters!
