@sree420000 McCartney is as much a legend as Cliff Richard is.True legends like The Who still perform as well, if not better, than they used to 20 years back. (I watched them on TV last year).Yesudas is a bigger legend than any of these, but he is crap these days. why don't you just admit it and stop telling us that he still sounds wonderful?I am sure even McCartney does more justice to his old (admittedly simpler) songs.

thanks a ton for sharing this timeless classic....dasettan again proves age is not at all a barrier for music!!!!
loved the song....vayalar's captivating lyrics and lpr's melodious composition coupled with divine voice of dasettan made it special....

despite the explanations as to how well the raga has been used by LPR, another one to avoid and thank goodness for the original timeless classic from the 60s(bagesri,SG2M1D2N2S. SN2D2M1PD2G2M1R2S,ellam pazhayathil undu, onnum ithil illa)aaro paranja pole, ellam manassilundu, purathekku varunnilla....LPR woudn't like that 'askasha (pause) pushpangal choodi' or any of those extra brigas or that 'innennnthinennnte divaa..' that is with out having to talk about 'velli', after all he is past 70.

many thanks for posting this.
Thanks a million for uploading this extremely special recording! Dasettan sings alsmot exactly the same way he did 40+ years ago, maybe with even more sangathis..and to know that his only rehearsal was that he briefly listened to the audio tapes that morning is a true testament to what this Genius is all about. I hope the music industry sits up and listens to His important message at the end of the song..

Happened to watch Paul McCartney perform live on a TV show a couple of weeks ago. His performance was just plain sad, could not hit any high notes, a pale shadow of his former self. Yet the audience applauded over & over again and asked him for an encore - because he is a legend! Dasettan in comparison sounds wonderful, is almost pitch perfect, and maintains true fidelity to the melody that LPR composed so long ago..Let's appreciate this Treasure that we have while we have it!
