well, i have a camera that can be hooked up to a TV and it's able to record the feed from the screen.

and my settings on Rock Band is putting the vocal track all the way down, mic volume all the way up, and mic sensitivity to a pretty high level but not not all the way up.

Oh, ok, and does that camera pick up your audio feed as well? If so... what kind of camera?

yup yup, and i'm not good with cameras. it was a 99 dollar one i bought from like, Target or something. it came with this cord that you can plug into your camera and into the "yellow-white-red" outlets on your TV
