Sadly, this is true. He was my dad and loved his day out at Wembley. He died peacefully with his daughter holding his hand. A question for VirtusNS. How did you know? Was it the obituary in the telegraph and you recognised the name? Best wishes.

I suspect the 'VirtusNS' indicates an Old boy of the school (Virtus non Stemma being our old school motto), so via the OG network.

Sadly, Dennis Higham died on October 29th, 2009, aged 95.

I LOVE this film. Hard to imagine 200,000+ fans crammed into the old stadium - great to finally see some images & hear from someone who was actually there. And it sounds like the Wembley Spirit was strong from the start, lifting this boy to the front of the crowd. WEM-BER-LEY!
