Enchanted April

I've had this lovely oboe rendition of Elgar's "Chanson de Matin" running through my head since it WAS April. Here are some favorite scenes from "Enchanted April," in honor of the month in which it was actually filmed in Genoa: May 1991.

The first couple is Michael Kitchen and Miranda Richardson, while the pair at the end is Michael Kitchen and Polly Walker. During the music we also get glimpses of most of the rest of the cast: Joan Plowright, Alfred Molina, and Josie Lawrence. (Also wonderful in this movie is Jim Broadbent, though you don't see him here.)

Thank you for posting this! One of my favorite "feel good" movies. Lottie is one of my favorite characters: so loving and warm and willing to express herself. The whole film is just a gem.
