I also heard that you can tap the center of the touchpad twice and it should work just as well. I tried it and it worked.

GOOD LUCK!

Just a little simple video of what i did to fix my m1530 touchpad problem. A lot of people have the problem where is jumps around like crazy.

This is my little way to fix it. May or may not work for you!!!

  • sometimes when im typing my palm hits the touch pad and it screws up my typing lol, but other than tht its an awesome computer (took off vista)

  • how did you take vista off? i messed my pc up when i first got it trying to get it on there, did some stuff wrong. could you send me a message telling me how you did it? thanks

  • anyhow i still prefer using a small mouse over the annoying touchpad :D

  • @airmcnair06 thanks it worked

  • wow technical stuff,i bet bill gates is craping himself

  • Thanks a lot buddy!! Mine's Hp dv6 series and had the same problem. Didn't try your method though. But it was fixed when i tapped the center of the touchpad twice; as you said in the description. Cheers:)

  • I have a Dell, also!!!

My touchpad isnt working. I dont know how to ENABLE it!!!

I have to plug in a mouse.

PLEASE HELP ME TURN BACK ON MY TOUCHPAD!!!!!!!!

    Anybody!!??? O.o

  • I love Dell never had problem with that brand. Favorite is Dell, Acer, Asus, Sony a bit expensive but, well built.

  • I have an Acer laptop and it;s like 3 years old, the left click button does not work at all after this amount of time so I tried this and it didn't work but if you right click the icon on the bottom right corner and press tap to click it works fine. If your touchpad doesn't work at all you can press Fn and F7 and it will probably work, if not press Fn and F9. If you try all of these solutions it's bound to work.

  • Sorry dude i feel your pain my Lenovo G560 laptop have also trackpad issue. The trackpad driver work 90 percent though but, the 10 percent it won't work somedays.

  • Dell has been declining rapidly fast the past few years, their quality is horrible and the customer service is even worse. I would not recommend buying any product from dell. Period.

  • lol my touch pad doesnt even come out in the bottom right side corner haha

  • I have a gaming laptop and when I use it to play games I have a button that disables the trackpad until I turn it on again.

After an hour (ish) gaming session I unplug my mouse and enable the trackpad again.

I put my finger down onto it and the mouse starts going everywhere really fast and clicking stuff and it always opens loads of programs and deletes shortcuts...

What should I do? If you don't know how to fix it do you know anywhere I could find an answer?
