How to Enable the Rotating Desktop Cube [Ubuntu/Linux]

This is a short tutorial for new users of Ubuntu (and other GNOME desktop environments) showing how to enable that amazing rotating cube for switching between desktops (workspaces).

I screen recorded this using gtk-recordMyDesktop and added music legally through YouTube's "Audio Swap" feature and added annotations to guide you through the steps as my webcam's built in mic does not work under Ubuntu 8.10.

I hope my annotations are clear and easy to understand.

If I am going too fast in the video just pause it and un-pause when you are ready to continue the process as you can do it while watching the video. No nasty restarts required:)

@SillyBoyBlue83 Could be a lose connection on your hard drive. Just a possible guess but could be a trillion other things. Make sure everything is connected tight first though.

I keep getting

I have a great internet conection setting. and it's a fairy new pc with an ati radon graphics card.

I honestly don't know. It shouldn't be your graphics card as the problem is in downloading the manager not running it. Try again soon or download it from it's website instead of the Add/Remove....sorry for the late reply.
