Tom Laughlin gives a brilliant analysis as to why movies are failing at the box office. But more important, his market research has shown him what can be done to change this horrible trend. The Problem - The Cure.

  • I don't like the newer movies because someone always has to use drugs or show their boobs! I'm not interested in their breasts or their tattoos, or drug use. Theaters are not supposed to be titty bars!

  • What is a US box office?????????

  • Make better movies...and lower the price.

  • Tom, you're still one of my greatest heroes but in this economy, when people are struggling to pay the rent and buy groceries, it's not rocket science as to why people aren't going to the cinema anymore. Add to that, internet downloads and pirated dvds make it cheaper for people to see a film so I much fear that the era of the multiplex is coming to an end.

  • He is also correct that the studios should not be selling video on demand prematurely.

  • The thing is people want quality films and he's right about that. Now Hollywood puts out a lot of trash and chick flicks. We buy the tickets and we're tired of it. The best movie to come out in years is "The Help" and the script and acting were superb in it. It's sales are going up because it deals with something that CAN be real and dealt with real issues! Ben Cross recommended it and he does not recommend anything lightly. I think he and Tom would get along very well.

  • Sadly too many, many People are Adjusted to accept Subpar & Below average in way to many ways in everyday life .

  • Billy Jack was and still is cool to this day- a cult classic....but then again you are Billy Jack.....

  • I think if a movie theater played a Three Stooges flick people would love it.

  • Well to tell you the truth, Tom. The reason I stop going to the movies is because it cost to damn much just to get a ticket. you can't get a coke and hot dog for less the $8 to $10+ Then I have to set and watch commercials for 20 mins. 2 or 3 movies trailers. What ever happen to the good old days when they just show us a couple of movies trailers and a short movie or cartoon?.. How bought a Three Stooges movie short?.. they run apx 20 mins.
