Whether we like to admit it or not sometimes we use the romantic word "dreams" as a smokescreen for the slightly less appealing word "expectations". Fairly or unfairly we have all had expectations put on us by our spouse and we've done the same to them. The problem is that when those expectations aren't communicated in a healthy way they can take a heavy toll on a marriage.
