Maggie, a bordercollie/setter, with torn ACL's, came to Eddie's Wheels for fitting a canine cart to aid in her rehabilitation.

  • She's had both ACL's torn for several months. She is on anti-inflammatories. Her owners did alot of research on TPLO's and decided against the surgery due to the tremendous expense ($8000. quoted) and the mixed results. The cart will take the weightbearing and pain out of walking and allow scar tissue to form. It will protect her miniscus against further damage. A medium braced cart is $445.00 for dogs between 60-90 lbs.

  • Please tell me how your conservative management has been. What is her condition now, and what is she able to do? How long has it been since injury? Also, how much do these carts cost?
