  • CX827 arrives in the evening, this is CX829

  • @asharwin930 At the time of deployment, this was indeed CX827. Just that they have switched the schedules around a bit at present time.

  • U flew business class or first?

  • I'm from San Francisco but I'll be flying JFK-HKG or YYZ-HKG real soon on CX - never flew Cathay Pacific before but looks like a great airline.

  • In 2000, CX A340 used polar route from Toronto to Hong Kong non-stop

  • That's the route they used to have.

  • My flight from toronto to hong kong/back home has 1 stop in anchorage. This flight flies during the night and the 777-300 flies during the day

  • Yes there was enough fuel. I was on an A340-300 and my flight stopped in Anchorage, AK. The alternate route happened once we've taken off. The pilot didn't say anything, but the cabin crew mentioned that there was some sort of volcanic eruption
