well i eat correctly, exercise, and keep mentally active however i still suffer with depression. For me SSRI's work.

this guy talks about drug companies only showing their positive results... hes only talking about his successes! i eat great, exercise, sleep regularly- but bad genetics mean that im just as bipolar as my mother. its true that there is no strict evidence saying anti depressants work- you cant exactly watch a synapse transmitting a signal- but they do, for whatever reason, for some people. for me! its not for everyone, but it saved my life. much like religion. this guys a money hungry fool.

He's just standing slagging antidepressants. They're not supposed to make you happy. He obviously has never had to take them. The whole point of them is that you're not depressed all the time. They're not going to work straight away! And yes, there are side effects. But unless you've had mental problems such as depression, and you've ended up having to take SSRI's (anti-depressants), you won't know. And he just made a big joke out of everything too.

I have a good varied diet, eat 5-a-day, don't touch alcohol, tobacco or drugs, have suffered HORRENDOUS anxiety and depression and Sertraline (anti-depressant) has transformed my life.
