Maryland is holding a number of events this week to commemorate and remember 9/11 as well as look to the future, including a memorial service at 8:30 a.m. on McKeldin Mall on September 12.
Other events include a Walk of Remembrance as approximately 3,000 students, faculty, staff and community members will continuously walk the labyrinth in the UMD Chapel's Garden of Reflection and Remembrance for 24 hours. Musical interludes, a candlelight overnight labyrinth and a beautiful garden as well as the warmth of community will support this important effort.
Our memorial concert on the night of 9/11 at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center (7:30 p.m. - Dekelboum Concert Hall) will be broadcast live on UMTV and streamed online - the link will be available on the University of Maryland website - umd.edu.
