You could be cast as the next Anne of Green Gables!

The search for the next Anne of Green Gables is on!!

We are looking for charming actresses between the ages of 10 - 12 years to audition for the part of Anne Shirley in a brand new prequel to the original mini-series, written and directed by Emmy award winning film-maker Kevin Sullivan, entitled Anne of Green Gables - A New Beginning.

Your audition must be no more than 2 minutes in length and must depict your best portrayal of Anne through passages from the film or book. Please include your full name at the beginning of the audition.

Only those candidates selected will be contacted for a live audition. Submissions are due no later than July 20, 2007.

i read the article in today's toronto star about auditions, and i got kind of excited,

Why a remake`?? There's noo way they're gonna overgo the old series. There is only one true Anne of Green Gables and that's Megan!

@chioguenther: it's already been made, and it's actually pretty good! But, they should've had Megan Follows come back for old Anne, and they should not have killed off Gilbert. That was awful. Why did they have to kill off Gil? That really made me cryyy.

megan never looked like the depicted anne but she sure can act...same with the guy who played gilbert blythe-I thought he was supposed to be gorgeous

they said they want the girls who try out to watch the dvd of the original. that's because they're striving to model the movie after that one because no one could beat out megan follows performance!:)
