I love free jazz, I don't really consider it music though, well, I do, but in the sense of all sound being music. It allows you to appreciate what a musician has to do to produce sound, and all the ways to do so, opens your mind, but it takes a lot of energy to listen to.

free jazz is great in theory and sounds like it would be really fun to create and play... but I have to agree with 'Gettinghitonattheban'....this gets really boring to listen to, unless you have patience... I like it in an artistic sense though. It really is more of an audio art project than a piece of music.
Still great.

i used to like free jazz from my childhood on in the sixties. i always found it so relaxing and i still do.

Free Jazz is amazing fun to play, but not really the best thing to listen too. This is great, but I can only listen about 1:00 before I get a headache.
