This video shows users how to install the LCD screen that they purchase directly from iResQ.com. This repair is difficult and all the correct tools are required. In addition, it's possible to cause damage to your machine that is irreversible. We recommend sending your MacBook to our expert technicians rather than trying this on your own. I hope this helps those who are daring enough to try it on their own! Disclaimer: iResQ will not be responsible for any damage that is caused by using this install method. Once again, we recommend letting the experts handle this repair.

Attaching the cable back into the inverter board is harder than it looks in the video. it's located towards the computer - but is kinda hidden. once you physically see it, connecting it is easy. try a tiny bit of extra force when you peel back the cover. makes it easier to see what's going on. i'm writing this because i experienced the same "black screen" problem several time. Ultimately, I located the plug and connected the monitor successfully.

@donbuddy333 Sounds like either the inverter board is defective or unplugged. The inverter board provides light to the back of the laptop screen. It can be difficult to get it plugged in well, maybe it is just unplugged. Watch 4:35 again and make sure yours is plugged in well.

@cmathias247 It could be a problem with the antenna on your laptop. The antenna goes up and around one side of the screen. I would make sure that it is not pinched, broken, or disconnected.

Thank you for this video, I've replaced my screen for about £130 cheaper than I was quoted at the Apple Store.
One problem has arisen though. Every time I go into a different room other than the room with the internet router in, my Mac cannot pick up any wireless signal. Is this problem related to me replacing the screen?

So your video was awesome!!! The only thing I am hung up on is when I installed my lcd the brightness adjustment button does not work? How can I get this adjustment back?
fossL101 3 months ago
@fossL101 Some LCD screens do not allow brightness to be adjusted. It might depend on where you got the LCD screen from, if they sell authentic parts or copies.

I just replace my screen but now i have'n't got Light ( Brightness) on my screen ... What can I do ????? HEELLP
MrSoftEffects 4 months ago
@MrSoftEffects It probably means the inverter board (little white plug in the video) did not get connected, or it is in backwards. If it is connected correctly, you may have a bad screen.
