Adobe After Effects ~ Pot Shots ~ AK-47 & Deagle

Just testing out A:AE for the first time ever . I know there's alot of these videos out there and mine is far from perfect but, I wanted to make some of my own. Featuring a Stock less AK-47 (Because it broke off lmao -_-) and a silver shiny little Desert Eagle (LOL, okay okay, it's not a deagle...Shhhhh, they don't know that yet! =]).

P.S. I know it would have been better if I had edited in the shell ejection and had removed the orange plugs but I really didn't want to bother with that. And I just noticed I didn't use the 'add' blending mode for the pistol muzzle flash which is why there is like a line in the glow when it's shot, but ah well....next time.

Q: What program did you use?
A: Adobe After Effects CS4

Q: Where did you get the muzzle flash images?
A: Google "Muzzle flash" in the images section.

Q: Where did you get the sound effects?
A: I extracted them from the game CSS.

Q: Why is the quality a bit choppy?
A: Well, I used the only camera I have which is a 2 mega pixel mobile phone.

Q: How long did it take you to edit this?
A: Well since it was my first time it took longer than I expected, around an hour and a half.

Q: Wow you're bored.
A: Well I-....Hey wait.

Pretty good. I'm pretty jealous of how you did the lighting. But I would suggest using different muzzle flashes for the AK-47 instead of the same one every time. It was good though. How did you do the shell ejections in your other video?

Yeah I agree about the muzzle flashes. This was actually my first attempt and I only really knew the bare minimum. Also, the shell ejections were simply videos of bullet shells twirling and tweened to drop down the screen.

I actually got them from a friend at school, he mentioned something about a certain website. I believe there are some videos that may be downloaded from YouTube for this particular purpose.

It's some decent stuff, but I can't believe you forgot that you need to pull the trigger for the gun to fire, though. Hope you've caught that in your newer vids. I will say, though, the lighting (as per shot setup) really blows. I imagine you did that on purpose, though, so you could make the splash lighting actually noticeable. I'll check out your newer videos, too. I hear you've improved.
