The iStomp works like every other stompbox. Step on the footswitch to turn it on and off. Adjust the knobs to dial-in the sound you want. The biggest difference between the iStomp and other stompboxes is you can completely change the iStomp to any pedal in the entire pedal line. Simply connect your iPod touch®, iPhone®, or iPad® and choose a pedal to load to your iStomp. In about the same time it takes to download a song you can turn the iStomp from a distortion to a reverb, a phaser to an overdrive, or a delay to a chorus.

iStomp includes two free pedal downloads ¬- DigiTech's Total Recall™ digital delay and Redline™ overdrive to get you started.

  • we're doing some stuff like this on DIYDSP, but this is excellent!

  • @DIYDSP if you have any links or info on your projects I'd love to see them.

  • Looks cool, but digital effects will never beat analog ones when it comes to sound

  • @AndreasSku93 you might be right but digital effects have come along way in 10 years. There will always be those who won't play anything but analog and that's totally fine. creating music is about making the sounds you want and for yourself. the tools we build are meant to help musicians do that.

  • Why cant it support both android and iOS out of the box? Not including over half of the mobile landscape is a mistake.

  • @Darkwarrior006 iOS devices have one type of connector 30-pin and one central market, the app store. Android devices have many different connectors, across multiple types of devices without a centralized market. It makes developing hardware for android very difficult. We're not neglecting the android customers. We are actively working on a solution but there is no reason to not release a product when 200 million compatible devices are already in the market place.

  • So this iStomp pedal cost $149 and I can download and I turn it into any effects pedal that I want and only use one effect at a time. I can turn it to a distortion pedal that cost $49 to a reverb pedal that cost $99, a phaser pedal that cost $69, or to an overdrive pedal that cost $49. I don't get it. Why not just by the effect pedal you want or better yet, why not just buy an RP155 for $99 and have them all.

  • @DigiTechFX Can you use it without an iPhone. for example just with your macbook?

  • @DigiTechFX Its Retailing for £159 in the UK... Doesn't sound right?

  • @aikeeramz nope. you only connect your ipod or iphone to change the pedal. you could program as many pedals as you own with just one ipod, iphone, or ipad.

  • @MannyBlue65 Some people want pedals some people want multi-effects. we have the solution for both types of players.

  • @Gerrardeos $149.95

  • @TheInjonction that video will be posted soon. This was just an announcement video.

  • @SlaughteredDecay You only connect your iOS device when you want to completely change the pedal. All the processing is in the actual pedal and none in the phone.
