This giant brown trout was caught and released by Argentina fly fishing guide Facundo Arrias in a shallow channel flowing into the Rio Rividavia in the Parque Nacional Los Alerces, Cholila, Patagonia, Argentina.
The length was 31 inches and the weight estimated at 5 kg.

Crystal clear water from the Andes Mountains and it has to be fish preservation. We catch 2-3kg in the Snowy Mountains in NSW, Australia and people take them out and don't allow them to grow into the 4-5kg (special 10 pound). New Zealand is the same, they look after their fishery. Us flyfisherman have to start playing our part, all trout rivers should be catch and release and keepers only allowed from the lakes.

@AYUODSNUKIS yeah was def snagged outside the mouth but that could always be an accident. some game fish miss on occasion

Nice fish - but it looks like it was hooked on the outside of the mouth (snagged) - or was that just my misinterpretation of the photo?
