  • yep we all buy our finised products back from china not only timber/paper products its becouse of u winging people that we arent allowed to build anything in our own countrys

  • @vicaxe1 I don't buy squat from China. It's almost all crap. That said, nothing's stopping you from building anything you want right here. There's lots of good materials and know how is free.

  • my dads been a timber faller for 33 years and the years i ran up and down the mountains pounding wedges and limbing and buckin logs with him and doin a little of my own harvest not once has he left his saw while the tree was falling . thats careless. and whats wrong the saw when u let go of the throttle its suppose to go down to the idle. not keep throttled up. thats how u lose a limb.

  • Thanks for the feedback, but you're not quite "up to speed". I've been falling for thirty years myself. The accepted safe practice here on the BC coast is to put the saw behind the stump and get at least 10' from the stump. (Not always possible). It's not necessary to carry the saw away every time. Sometimes, yes. Regarding the idle, what you're hearing is caused by the fact that the YouTube video isn't synced with the audio. A tech problem on the YouTube end.

  • First, the saw is idling. Second, the way he left the saw behind the stump is very good. I've been cutting timber over 35 years. Sometimes I take the saw with me, sometimes I don't. The saw has never been hurt by my leaving it, and I've never been hurt either. You will notice when he walks away, he looks up to see if any limbs or tree parts are coming at him. Smart. Good job on dropping this tree.

  • @treemaninOregon thanks for the validation. Sometimes it's hard to explain to those who haven't been there

  • The way I see it is fall the big ones, and leave the smaller ones there because they aren't worth as much. They also will grow to become the bigger trees...right

  • Buy back your own chips? HA. Serves you right, O Canada.

  • Beautiful British Columbia.

  • Nice tree. Too bad most of it will be shipped to China in wood chips. The wood chips will than be processed into particle board furniture and shipped back to your native country. I believe the Canadian hockey players already use particle board hockey sticks made in China. No hard knocks to the Canadian loggers, but this waste of trees in return for particle board shit has gotta' stop.
