do you guys know the trawler crew or do you's just hang out and wait for one to head in and have you ever pig dogged that little section and made it, of course when some damn booger doesnt drop in and mash the wave up for you.

I think it cost a grand to rent the trawler for a couple of hours. The purpose of the exercise was to demonstrate the method of generating surfable waves, as part of a feasibility study in wave pool design. So, it wasn't necessary to risk injury, especially since the focus was on wave quality.

so is this wave better than a normal boat wake because of the wake rolling up the drop off close to shore, or because of the opposing river current, or a combination of both?
