@Monkgangsta I think you mistake Action Adventure with Hack Slash. DW is more of a commercial product, with characters being changed after every version. The story goes the way you want with RTK, while with DW it's only premade.

The best tip I can give you is to create your own force, do all the tutorials to unlock all bonus officers and put them under your command. Play the Yellow Turban Rebellion, select about 5-10 cities at the bottom of the map to be yours. The war is going on in the north so you can safely expand in the south. Put most pf your officers in your most northern cities. Check out to employ an officer averytime a force gets annihilated, or switches leadership.
