  • Thanks for posting this! I've always loved this song-I had never heard this Hollies version before-very cool! ♫

  • @davidlenander Definitely. He thought it wasn't the Holllies' style, and he was right... but the group was more into showmanship than original, heartfelt songs with a message, which was more of what Graham was all about.

  • "In 1814, we took a little trip..." Seriously-- this is "Johnny Horton Does Dylan!"

  • @davidlenander, What do you mean? :/

  • Is this why Nash bailed?

  • Is Quinn Oswley ? ...does anybody know

  • I photographed the Hollies in 77. To see the shots go to 70srockphotos (.com)

  • As mush as I love The Hollies, and trust me I really do, Manfred Mann's version of this song is better.

  • Truly a waste of time and effort. The brass is awful. Maybe if they'd stuck with the banjo, it might have been a curiosity-- Mighty, mighty Quinn, king of the wild frontier.

  • This. Makes. Me. SOOO. Happi! ahaz. Such a great band, great cover. XD <3

  • they cut out an entier verse. lame version in my opinion. sorry.
