Veil Dance - Ancient Greek Dance Forms, Aphrodite Dancing

With a wind and her veil, like a seafaring vessel, Galatea journeys through stone to sky in her veil dance to Ross Daly and Vangelis' music.

After studying the human forms of frieze, amphora,and statuary of ancient Greece, Galatea explores the anatomical possibilities to create a lexicon of movement. She incorporates this lexicon into her flow of dance spontaneously. In an ecstasy, she never performs the same dance twice. Look for the Cross in the sky. . This veil dance was performed at the Morikami Japanese Gardens in Boca Raton, Florida.
