Roger Ebert is such a tight ass. I was 5 years old when I saw these films, I knew pain was real, scars don't disappear, and bullets kill. But DAMN was it fun watching Arnold toss a dozen Mall security guards in Commando! These movies were popular because people got sick of Hollywood characterizations of Vietnam vets as crazed pyscopaths with tortured minds, we went from one extreme to another and the more the media and critics whined, the more over the top they got.

@formgren The Expendables movie is directed by Sylvester Stallone, of course it'd be awsome! (I haven't seen it though, but it looks pretty cool, and I'm not really into a lot of new movies). I love his movies, and there's something about his directional style that I just love. He inspires me to makes movies one day.
