Fair play to brian and co., ambassadors for irish culture, song and history. the boys tell it like it is and was and celebrate the people who gave us this gift of free speech, whether for or against the tones etc. This obviously sticks in the craws od certain west brits like that fat fool in black in the audience. being as ignorant, arogant and opinionated as he is no wonder he got beaten up. i'd never feel ashamed of irish history...never, in fact the only thing that makes me ashamed of irish history is the nationalistic idiots that the fat guy in the black suit described.

im happy to be irish(and also european) but theres no reason to be a nationalist in the republic of ireland imo.

the reinterpretation of irish history by people like peter hart and kevin myers designed to paint the independence struggle as wrong. ian o dohertys rants about sean russell recently. whats wrong with wanting a united ireland?
