Seventy six Trombones led the big parade
With a hundred and ten cornets close at hand
They were followed by rows and rows of the finest virtuosos
The cream of every famous band
WOW, what a way to start a concert ! What a great idea, to go thru the audiance en route to the stage.
While I understand a lot of American musicals are popular in the English speaking world, I didn't think "The Music Man" was known at all outside of the U.S. It's so laden with Americana (it's set in a small town in Iowa around the 4th of July) - the most of any musical I know other than "1776". It seems very odd for a French band to be playing it in Australia.

@AllenJBlodgettJrmota Maybe - if he was performing in America. But he wasn't - he was in Australia, so if he was to end it with a march out, it should be with an Australian themed march out - NOT the Stars and Stripes, which we don't even really know!!

This guy is certainly a great showman - a Cecil B De Mille of music.

i think i meant to if you start the concert with 76 Trombones, you should end the concert with Stars and Stripes Forever

If you think starting this song with 76 Trombones, now what you need is ending it with Sousa's Stars and Stripes Forever
