The speakers addressed a capacity crowd of 2,000 people, who applauded as Ms. Traverss liberal ideals and political activism were invoked, and who joined her former band mates, Peter Yarrow and Noel Paul Stookey, on every word of the groups 1969 hit Leaving on a Jet Plane.
