Hi!
I finally put together the two Pink Floyd songs following the tradition. :)
I managed to record this vid for the 1st take (yes.. only ONE take!! :) - I'm proud of myself now :P) so I had time to play with the sound this time..
I added a little reverb and used a deHisser which I'm not really satisfied with..

arrangement is an own mix of jawmunji's and Tomi Paldanius's arrangement, if you need tabs ask them. :)

Gear is the same, Samick OM7 acoustic guitar with new, medium-gauge Martin strings, and the Samson C01u usb condenser microphone.

Hope you enjoy it! :)

  • @bomberin18 Thank you :)

  • Very nicely done, If you have the tabs, I would really appreciate them. Got to ask, Does this guitar sound as good unmiked? I would gather due to its cedar top it has a very pleasant sound.

I think I'd compare the sound to a seagull, what do you think?

I like the guitar's natural sound better. It has louder and more detailed treble and the overall sound is crisper and cleaner. In this vid, the echo effect brings a little life to the microphone's sound, so it's quite close. I personally prefer phosphor-bronze strings for this guitar, I definitely recommend the Martin lifespan series. I haven't played seagull guitars so far, but I think this is one of the best not all-solid-wood guitar on the market.

  • great playing, HUNrobar. I was looking at a refurb in the USA, and listened to the tone of the GBennett OM7 here... bought it, and am very happy! They are really a well built and beautiful sounding guitar.

marilyn9500 has one up there again now, on refurb

  • @5frailer1 I'm happy to hear that! These Greg Bennett acoustics are pretty awesome and they'd deserve a lot more reputation. :)
