@theliftedloraxshow i used his instructions to tune,. but also used a tuner from making a PVC flute. Look up tuner.e.zip . after that, i searched for note frequency so i knew how many hertz i was aiming for to tune. then you just cut slowly.

Thank You!! Mr Lifted Lorax!!! You Rule!

Did you bore a large port hole in the bottom? Do you use magnets, or a dampener of some sort inside? Do you cut the legs longer to get the right tone? And lastley, where is your link to ebay so I can buy one from you should I not be able to make my own. Ive heard others who have followed the same

I live about 4 hrs from the inventor - maybe I should go see him.. Thank you & great job

People, People!! In the video, I say "my drum" --I mean, "my drum" as in the one that I am making... This is the beautiful work of Dennis Havlena who is awesome. Please find his videos (they are great) and from there you can link to Dennis's site and instructions.

Question Chris, what size dremel discs are you using and what size metal blades on the jigsaw? My blades are small, but I can't get quite the arch on them and end up outside my template lines.
GalitUnggoy 1 year ago
@GalitUnggoy Oh thank God, a answerable question... The dremel discs are the good ones --the ones that are reinforced with "grid" of fiberglass. They are thicker than the cheap ones and they match the thickness of the jigsaw blade. The blades I use are regular Bosch fine tooth metal cutting. Push down hard when you cut and remember to "steer from the back of the saw" --don't point the nose where you want to go, rotate the back of the saw to "steer".
