I always thought he probably didn't like Plante too much. They were line mates through a lot of brawls with minimal help from Plante... Either that or he was just protecting his goalie.

May is still one of my favorite Sabres ever, but I remember this sucker punch. Come on, May. You were so much better than this. Broke Plante's nose and he got a 5 minute major and game misconduct.
