On a recent trip to San Francisco, I took a day to hike and see some sights. I hiked about 15 miles worth of awesome trails. I started at Stinson Beach and hiked the Dipsea, Steep Ravine, Fern Creek, Old Stage Road, Matt Davis, Nora and Coastal Trails. This is an awesome trail system that affords views of the beautiful coast, redwood forests, waterfalls and mountain scenery.

  • I've said it before, and I will say it again...The Matt Davis/Steep Ravine Loop in Marin County

is heaven on earth. Well, after strong rains. The creek and Falls under Table Rock will never

be 4gotten, neither will the rest of the hike. Well fog could kill the views on the M.D. trail. Go

anyway. Don't wait 4 spring flowers...go after winter storms...then again in Spring!! (My

recommendation.) Starting at the beach I believe is best. Pantoll lot might be full, anyway.

    Thnx 4 posting, S.J.!
