Another of my illustrious videos from France! This one has outtakes, and if there was ANY doubt before, certainly, no one can henceforth challenge the patheticicity of my existence! That word doesn't even exist! Enjoy. I did...kind of...except that I must have played that song well over a hundred times before I was even CLOSE to satisfied!

  • very beautiful cover! it's just too bad that the sound is not of the best quality. i like the way you sing!! ^^

  • Thanks for your response! Your English is impeccable (did you grow up speaking it?). Mon français devient, malheureusement, déplorable. I'll consider reposting this with better sound (now that I have a Mac, no more digital cam), but I'm way out of practice now and I'm ashamed to sing even when I'm home alone.... BTW, your Alison Krauss acapella cover is AWESOME!

  • wow thank you so much!

hehe your french is not bad at all either ^^ "déplorable" is a very sophisticated word indeed :) where have you been learning? as for my english, well i love languages in general, plus i've been living in ireland for about a year, which sure helped ^^

PS i have a Mac too, and maybe GarageBand is your friend ;) hope to hear from you soon!

  • Your English is good enough to give me pause-perhaps you started at an early age? I've lived in France, so my French is not really "déplorable", but I'm now losing it.

  • cool. good job. where did you get the guitar music for this?

  • My voice is all whack...but whatcha gonna do, right? Thanks for the comment. I actually figured this one out by ear, which is why the chords are not exactly the same as what Simon himself plays. If you would like, I can post a video "tutorial", although I admit I feel a little hesitant posting a tutorial when I know that the chords are wrong.... Anyway, thanks again for your comment! :)

  • Your voice is pretty good and your guitar skills are great! I'm jealous. I wanna cover with song but I don't think I have the guitar skills. You definitely did great though.

  • your good dude and i like the dead cover too.

  • i think i'll message you ^^ this is getting a bit long isn't it :P

  • Pretty good figuring this out, but honestly you're making it too hard. The song was written in the key of D with capo on the 2nd fret (effectively the key of C). The C / Cmaj7 / Dm / FMaj7 transitions were all over the Bookend album, and once you play it this way you can feel what Paul Simon was feeling.
