Two great 12 foot B 17's take off. One lands safely, the other crashes only to reappear one year later as good as new.

Barring some sort of failure why the hell didn't he go around? It was obvious he was not just carrying too much speed but his nose was pointed down too. Then he nearly does it again with the same landing style. The guy needs a buddy box.

I'd guess at about a $4-$6,000 landing. But the money is probably not as much a loss to him as all the months and months of labor constructing/weathering/detail
ing. My stomach lurched when it hit. Try taking a pile of balsa sticks and plywood and scratch-build it to look just like a WWII bird. It's a hobby of passion. Research. Craftsmanship. -
