@ExpertPlane101 there awesome

Probably because the "Super 80" AKA the MD-80 is most likely 25 years old.....
-
@larousse2002 Because that is the best thing you could do. You can get scared and panic but that isn't going to help neither the plane, crew or pilots and losing cabin pressure isn't a disaster.

Has anybody wondered why the look so calm and relaxed, is it possible that the oxygen contains some sort of tranquilizer?
-
@FlyDeltaAirlines1001 Planes can lose pressure for a number of different reasons. Sometimes a door doesn't seal correctly or comes open during flight. Another reason has to do with the packs and bleed air, which is a complex system that pressurizes the cabin and provides air-conditioning.

Is there a doctor on board with some xanax?

How is everybody staying calm?! They would have to shoot me with tranquilizers or a bottle of Jim Bean before I calmed down. And I'm pretty nervous on flights to begin with. Thanks for sharing! :P

How does a plane lose pressure

@FlyDeltaAirlines1001 Not really sure since they didn't give us an explanation. Most likely it was due to a faulty air conditioner. We were delayed about an hour while we waited for the air conditioner to be repaired. Also, we were not able to fly above 25,000 feet because of the problem. Either that or there was a hole in the fuselage.
