That is very sad to hear that in the very least people are afraid that people of different social and historical backgrounds would not want to live next to each other. I think this is proof that racism and discrimination are well alive in the United States today.

I hope the company fires the person in charge of that complex and some apologies are made.

As a frequently travelling and renting consultant, I have faced such obvious but unprovable discrimination quite a few times. God bless these two ladies and CAIR for bringing up and publicizing such discrimination and standing up for equality which is a fundamental American value.
