If you would like to purchase the entire 30 minute documentary go to www.catswithoutahome.com

This 30-minute documentary powerfully weaves the plight of homeless cats in Santa Clara County by following six individuals who are committed to reducing the unnecessary euthanasia of homeless cats. The filmmakers introduce viewers to the secret world of homeless cats and bring to light the painful reality shelter workers and the community endure when a homeless cat not suitable for adoption is euthanized.

All proceeds go directly to Humane Society Silicon Valley to help the shelter animals.

  • They don't need a shelter. Catch them castrate them and free them again.

  • aww.. my cat is named max too!

  • Doing some research to create a similar documentary.. cheers

  • Consumer society sees a kitten or a puppy as a product with a limited shelf life

so that the kittens and puppies in pet shops attract the lowest form or ownership from the lowest form of profiteers

its all about laws, changing laws, making puppy mills and kitten mills illegals, banning the sale of kitten from pet shops, rather a system of referral to a *proper* breeder

big oil, tobacco etc have lobby groups vying for favourable conditions, there needs to be a lobby for true welfare of pets

  • The cat @ 0:47

    is soooo adorable!

But my heart was breaking to see his/her sad eyes.

  • Precisely. Supervised outside walks.

  • Spay, neuter and keep cats indoors or leashed to the owners home.

  • First of all, homeless people can help themselves,if they want too. Secondly, animals need human help because we are the ones who put them in their situation, because nobody wants to spay or neuter their animals when they let them roam outside. What do you expect? I'll help an animal before I help a human being because WE SHOULD KNOW BETTER!! They have to deal with no food, poisoning , cars etc... I will do what I can to help. I give to the animal causes. Why is it so hard to do what's right!

  • the worst is having a cat, their so lovable its hard to imagine them ever suffering, and kills inside. till i had a cat i didnt even care about them, having one now its all changed.

  • Also they are forgetting about homeless birds and ants!

Those cats are better off than in small shelters. Cats are suppose to be outside. They seemed pretty happy outside.
