Excellent video! I've always found the Silver Rule more practical.

I've always heard that the silver rule was the "negative golden rule" "Do NOT do to others what you wouldn't have done to yourself." What your talking about is "Tit for tat" or "an eye for an eye".

You still going on about pnd for exposing your reptilian ways..! lol

An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. By the end of the fight you'll have nothing left.
Seeing eye to eye is the is the Ultimate Truth.
The Ultimate Rule is Truth. It is the only thing in the Universe that does not change.

I ignore "trolls" or any retarded comment\feedback on any subject, regardless.
Although, if it is constructive criticism it's all good.
I actually use both the golden rule as well as the silver rule. It depens on the situation.
I'm generally nice against anyone and just ignore the "retards" BUT If ignoring them is not an option, I'l easily fight back.

way I see it.... you can use the rules for better or worse... depends on your intention doesn´t it... you can be manipulative with the golden rule... you can be an "ars" with the silver... it is possible to express your limits without beeing "violent" ... I mean I would not hear anyones bullshit about how I shoud live my life an simply explain that it´s none of their busyness... and maybe point out why an where my standpoints are... guess this is a nother solution to the golden and silver thing
very interesting.i think u make a sensible point darryl. there was a time when i lived mostly by the silver rule. but nowadays i find myself living more by the golden rule. i don't think we should choose one or the other. i think they both have their place. i think we should strive to be decent and civilised citizens and put the golden rule first. but hold the silver rule as plan b just in case.

@lijit77 Each situation merits its own consideration consequences. I apply the golden or silver rule depending on the outcome I wish to achieve.

You're regressing back to the times of, "an eye for an eye and a tooth for tooth". Fool. Next time you are in dire need and you ask someone for help and they happen to live their lives by the "silver rule", well you won't get any help will you.? I hope for your sake you then find a stranger to help you who lives by the "GOLDEN RULE"!

@gilbertrr When you scorn me without provokation by calling me "fool," is that an example of you using the Golden Rule?
