Farmers that grow the crops are also eating the crops, living on the land, and hoping to pass down their operation to their children. I'm not following any logic that says that they are not doing their absolute best to grow a safe and abundant product that will help feed the world.
I would love to see the data (from a credible source) that proves your statement.
Without the technology to grow more from less, people all over the world would be dying of starvation. Is that a better choice?

Watch King Corn for a little more information.

These folks are to blame for 2/3 of our health care crisis. We are eating garbage made from 101 different shapes of corn, and animals that eat corn, and the corn is less and less nutritious every time them manage to eek out a little yield gain!
America, stop growing (and subsidizing) so much corn! It's garbage!!! It will only give you diabetes!!!!
Corn is probably the most versatile crops on the face of the planet. There are only good and bad diets. To expect that one food would have all the components of a healthy diet is naive. All life is about variety and moderation.
We are growing 5 times more corn today than 30 years ago . Corn needs to be recognized for its value. You need to know more about corn than is otherwise portrayed in this film.
