Ok, he can play special teams and he can help against the run. Does he have any shut down skills?

Well... the fact that he is tied for the NFL Record for Int's returned for TD's (3) of all time... I'm thinking QBs aren't going to be throwing to him very often. And yes -- he has shut down skills. He may not be the biggest - but he has instincts/quickness/and body control that you cannot teach or learn. Janoris has a legitimate claim to being named the NFC Defensive Rookie of the Year. Already made the NFL 2012 All-Rookie Team. Not many can say that.

the problem with jenkins as a punt returner, he thinks it's still d2 college where he needs no space to run. just fair catch the damn ball. some close calls already

Don't forget -- he was at Florida before North Alabama -- that's SEC competition. What else you need to remember - regardless of anything - he is a Rookie. If Coach Fisher wasn't confident about his abilities and decision making, he wouldn't be starting or returning punts. He'll break one soon -- and then teams will stop even kicking to him.

You are so right... That was actually right at the end of the first half of that game vs Valdosta State.. In the entire season, I don't think I ever saw Janoris actually run FULL SPEED.. he has such incredible control of his body movements... he toyed with people when he was returning kicks.. Sure was fun to watch! Good luck to the Rams this year!

Hit return too fast :). He covered Julio Jones and every other starting WR in the SEC that UF played those years. And don't knock DII talent my friend... It's not Bama or LSU but neither is Vandy, Ole Miss, or Duke. Nobody threw at Janoris all season. And when they were stupid enough to punt to him, they got burned for 6 80% of the time. He's an elite athlete with very , very special talent. You'll see.

You do have a very good point i just don't think Claiborne has the speed to play corner but he can be very good corner if given a chance ! i hope he repounds i wish both the best. i just hope jenkins can stay out of trouble

Jenkins went to the perfect team which was the best fits for him. The Cowboys however were probably one of the worst fits in the NFL for Claiborne,, I believe Jenkins is better but we never know until Claiborne gets a better coach/coordinator
