Del Rivers and the band Fudge Club continue the musical exploration they began with the hit single "Duesenberg (All the Way)" by going head-to-head with world music artists. Some might hear this new single and wonder if Del and Fudge Club have lost their way in a sea of musical self-indulgence. Del and the band would answer that charge by saying, "We'll get back to you after we dry off from swimming in a sea of musical self-indulgence". This new song forsakes the stripped down live feel of "Duesenberg" for a denser sound influenced by imagined hours listening to world music.
Director's commentary:
Del Rivers has produced some of the more unusual and indelible music singles in the history of Rochester, New York: "Second in Line", "Soul Chaser", and "She Walks Like A Robot". After he began working as an actor in some of my early videos, filmed with a $300 home video camera and a video editing program that said on the side of the box "for kids ages eight and up", I felt I should repay him in some way. I decided to set him up with the amateur musicians who had been scoring my videos and have him record a single with them, which I would then make a music video for. The musicians decided on a band name and settled on the unfortunate one of "Fudge Club", so the full name of Del's current band is "Del Rivers and his Fudge Club". We recorded and made a video for the song "Duesenberg (All the Way)", which surprised us all by being a pretty decent sounding song. I then helped the boys finish up work on a second music video: "Ape Farmers". No one knows what to make of this song, including the people who actually made it, but the video works. Del and the band have plans to release one more music single/video. -- As a side note, the video for "Duesenberg" is getting some attention worldwide from fans of odd music, on sites such as weirdomusic.com and alternativereel.com

Why does this video always take so long to load but Duesenberg doesn’t?

Very unique stuff! You can see my comedy side at "FrLobeAndDumplings" in the search box. I hope this song becomes a hit. My tune "My Little V-6" was considered as a single years ago in France under "Screamin' Apple Records", but it was never made.
