The "Appeal for Redress" held a press conference, on Oct. 17, 2007, on Capitol Hill, in the Rayburn Building. The group of 2,050 active duty military members is calling on the U.S. Congress "to end the occupation of Iraq." It is also warning the Bush-Cheney Gang from "repeating the same mistake in Iran." For background on the "Appeal for Redress," check out: www.appealforredress.org. Sharing his views in support of the group's goals was Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-AZ). Sponsoring the event was the "Institute for Policy Studies," of which John Cavanagh is the Director. See for more info: www.ips-dc.org. A fuller version of the press conference, 28 min. 42 sec., can be found at: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5607009816335253406.
On this man's reelection website the page for his fundraiser in Sept states: "There will be a silent auction of Raúls doodle art work from meetings with President Obama and key Congressional issues hearings."
Shouldn't our rep that make more than $150k a hear be doing something other than DOODLING at work.
Grijalva is part of the problem facing our customer.
