There are various ways to create whiteboard animation videos, the most common technique is to actually sketch on a whiteboard. You can also use a camera and record several motions and then put it together in a video. If you are not an artist and don't want to spend too much time with a video camera, using still images to create a stop motion animation is the way to go.

A computer with a image editing and video editing software would do. I used Photoshop and Windows Live Movie Maker. (For creating these types of whiteboard stop motion animation videos you don't need a digital video camera.)
