    Disney should sign William Friedkin to direct one of the new Star Wars movies, then balance will be restored to the universe. JK

    This film unfortunately came out at the same time as by Star Wars, and was killed by it. First at the box office, then Star Wars practically killed Hollywood from making great films like this at all, and that's a damned shame.

    love the soundtrack and the film as well such an underappreciated film that got lost in the shuffle but definitely deserves more attention still a strong example of how the 70's was possibly the best decade for HOLLYWOOD! I believe there is a Blu/ ray dvd being released this year!!

    Friedkin will be at BAM in Brooklyn next week 6/2/13 with a new print of the film and will be doing a Q&A afterward. I already have my tickets !

    Not only Star Wars destroyed New Hollywood but destroyed this overlooked masterpiece. I was never a fan to begin with but now after realizing that, Star Wars is my most hated film of all time!

    How did it look like? Uncropped, beautiful, sharp? Did he mention anything more about the release itself - bonuses, etc.? Did he mention possible release date? I wonder if there would be deleted scenes section. I'm such a maniac that I also have German version of the movie which has around 15 minutes of previously unseen footage but sadly has German dubbing.

    Saw Friedkin today. He showed this film in Chicago, the only known 35 mill print, before he uses it to remaster it later this year.
