I will choose XK. Despitethe rear seat is so small, but XK has a lot of nice features that will become optional features if you buy V8 Vantage.
My advise, choose XKR convertible to put away the clautrophobia-feel. Or if you don't have that phobia, choose the latest: Jaguar XKR-S.

Maybe, but speed isn't everything. Both cars are stunning and it really wouldn't be easy to decide which one - XKR is about as much as V8 Vantage - which one? Its hard to decide but hey.

XK-R is faster then V8 Vantage and the jag is better equiped...
other then that aston has the edge with the DB9 the V12 vanquish has some issues
