Not sure why this girl would think that the RDH program would require a 4 Year or 6 Year degree when even an RN can be accomplished with a 2 year degree.
BTW - both RDH and RN (Registered Nurse) are excellent paying careers allowing for pay between $40,000 - 90,000 and only requiring 2 Year degrees.

i know right, i was freaking out! i was like 6 YEARS??? im thinkin abt becomin a D.H. but not sure yet! but why do you have to take a math course for soo long?why would you need math in this type of job???? can some one explain tht to me! pls

As a dental assistant and a dental hygienist I can explain this very well. First off, you do not need a 4 year degree. Some programs offer a 2 year AS degree. It all depends on where you are attending school. Once you take the pre reqs for the DH program and apply to the DH program it ends up taking 4 years 2 for the pre reqs and 2 for the actual hygiene program yourself. I don't think a dental assistant should be on here talking about hygiene school. They have no idea how hard it is nor what t

As a Registered Dental Hygienist and Dental Hygiene Instructor, I'm sorry to see a dental assistant guess on the requirements for a dental hygienist. There are SEVERAL things wrong with this video. It's too bad, because these are common rumors...4 years degree first...state course....
