Both the m98b and l96 are most commonly chambered in .338 lapoua rounds

@EskReaper12 plus they're gonna correct it in the next update because they realized they made a mistake by only giving 69% damage for short range upper body hits because people from the gaming community complained...damn you're probably one of those fools lying around on rocks all game long camping. calling it strategical, thinking they're supporting the team and thinking that's what being a sniper means.

@thmaeder it wasnt awsome at all in bc2, whats the point in being a sniper if you can shoot the person in the foot and they will die. I like the way they did it in battlefield three, there just weeding out all of the fake sniper wannbees who cant get a headshot, such as yourself. the entire point of the sniper is to get the headshot. Thats what makes the recon challenging and fun, i mean why do you think they give you extra points for headhots because thats what they want you to do.

@minervius ps: i have not played the recon specificaly as sniper class till now because in order to be successful on pub servers i was always needet to be aggressive and providing my recon/intelligence dutys to my whole team and providing a spawnpoint right at the frontline all the time. but after i will be through the shotguns ( looking 4ward to the 870 and 1900series ) i will concentrate a bit on sniperrifles myself, after all whats the prob with missing a headshot and go handgun

and yes maybe the other rifle-classes are not so accurate in their ballistic characteristics

but you got to think, you got the .308 bolt snipers in the game and you got assaultrifles in the game with the same round and barrel length. how do you rationalise one class to drop someone with one chestshot and the other one needing 3-5 rounds

pause at 0:14, and 0:15, i think the M98B has less bullet drop the most out all guns.
