I learned this years ago while playing in a wedding band, and fell in love with the changes. I kept it in my repertoire and this is a pretty typical version of how I do it live. Thanks for listening.

  • Do you perform in Queens, ny?

  • not since the 80's. i'm in the s.f. bay area now....

  • Do you miss Queens? Do a show in Queens...we need great guitarists here!

  • My family, yes. The weather, not so much! It'd be a long, expensive trip for a gig.

  • thanks ripete

it's a 6120N. only made from 2000-2002. i ran into one at guitar center while looking for a tele. i've retired it from live gigs, and use it for recording now at home. it has a center block like a 335.

  • Okay, didn't mean to hit 'post comment'!! Was just thinking it would be nice to see you smile.....it's a simple request!!!

  • thanks lisa, for all the supportive comments. i always hope the tunes i post give people a few minutes of escape from our hectic lives, and i appreciate the feedback.

yes, i do smile! quite a bit actually. i guess when i'm playing i'm just trying to relax, flow, and not screw up. i think i smile more when i play with other musicians. the solo thing is a bit more demanding.

glad you dug the tunes. thanks again.

  • Brilliant. Thanks for sharing.

  • awesome!

  • Very nice. I wouldn't have thought of this song for asolo piece, so used to Madonna's big production sound. But you make it work very well.

What model Gretsch is that? I assumed all Gretsch hollowbodies had Venetian cutaways, and only the solid/semisolids had the Florentine. My first pro quality axe was a new 1962 6119.

  • PERFECT!
